IN CENTENERA WE TRUST

After discovering Christine Centenera in a magazine a few years ago, my love for her style continues to develop. Christine started off studying communications at University, with her first job being the Marketing Assistant at Harpers Bazaar. After three years she was promoted to fashion producer and organized and oversaw the production of fashion shoots. After a few months Christine was asked to be the market editor for the fashion features director as he believed she had a good eye (I don’t think anyone would disagree).

After spending 10 years as the former fashion editor at Harpers Bazaar, Centenera now works for Vogue Australia as senior fashion editor which she states ‘is a dream – the ultimate title within the market in terms of women’s lifestyle and fashion magazines’ as well as the fashion director of new magazine ‘Miss Vogue’. If this wasn’t enough she is also lucky enough to be the girlfriend of well-known Australian designer Josh Goot and consults for the likes of Kanye West and Ksubi.

Part-Filipino Centenera is a fashion icon across the world, with every outfit documented by the paparazzi that seem to be consistently fascinated by her. An icon -  yet shy when it comes to the camera, Centenera seldom uses social media however, due to fashion week we have seen an increase in uploads lately which I am sure has put a smile on fashion lovers faces. Christine’s favourite fashion week is Paris, as she loves the city and it also marks the end of show season with most heavy hitters there such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga. Centenera’s statement piece is without doubt a well-tailored black blazer and her insanely high instep is the reason for her being able to wear flat shoes which explains her impressive collection of designer heels which most of us only dream of possessing!
